Mood, Anxiety, Trauma, and Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Mental Health Treatment in Maryland and West Virginia
Dealing with depression, anxiety, adjustment or trauma-related challenges, postpartum mental health concerns, OCD, ADHD, or other emotional difficulties can feel exhausting and isolating, but you don’t have to face it on your own. In individual counseling, we create a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s going on, make sense of your feelings, navigate life transitions, strengthen relationships, and build a greater sense of balance and wellbeing. Every session is tailored to your experiences and goals, so you get support that truly fits your life.
At Jennifer Valenta Counseling, we recognize that mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions can present differently in women than in men. Many women experience subtler or internalized symptoms, such as perfectionism, overthinking, masking social challenges, or quietly struggling with focus and attention, that are often misunderstood and/or overlooked. By focusing on these female-specific presentations, we provide counseling that truly meets your experience, helping you feel seen, understood, and equipped with practical strategies to navigate daily life.
